The abundance of locally-owned & operated small businesses is one of the things that make NYC so great. To help foster the growth of such establishments, the city supports the nation's largest network of Business Improvement Districts. Of the 64 BIDs in the city, 22 of them are in Brooklyn. These partnerships are a great resource for the businesses within them, but they also provide some useful tools topeople who live, work or visit their represented areas.
