Reason 2: Your Current Site Could Frustrate Mobile Users

As mentioned in our last post, smartphone users are key. However, many existing business websites don't work on a smartphone at all. Those that do work tend to not work very well. Flash, for example, cannot be displayed on an iPhone or an iTouch. These two devices account for approximately 60% of mobile browsing in the United States. This means these users cannot view any of the information you display in Flash. For mobile browsers that can display Flash, such as those running on Android phones, your PC-targeted site will still probably not function well. Mobile phones have a much smaller screen than a desktop computer monitor.... making reading, scrolling and navigation difficult.

The good news is that smartphone browsers are very robust overall, and you can create a mobile site that gives these visitors a rich experience. Check out our video gallery on YouTube to see some examples.

Don't lose customers simply because they can't find the information they need.
